Amazing fakeaway kebab!!

Doner Kebab “Fakeaway” Recipe. Syn free on extra easy and eesp. Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients
500g of less than 5% fat beef mince (lamb is super hard to get, if you want lamb you can syn it)
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp dried Thyme
½ tsp onion powder, or 1 small finely chopped Onion. I did onion as forgot the powder!
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper, I’d add 1/2 tsp next time as I like mine hot
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp plain flour – Optional, will help it not to dry out. 25g is 4½ Syns so Syn value for the flour is negligible

Instruction
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Mix together the flour, oregano, Italian herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper.

Add the mince & mix together. It’s best to knead it really well till it all looks smooth.
Shape the mince into a loaf size and place on a baking tray, or use a loaf tin.
Spray with fry light then bake for approx an 1 hour, turning the loaf half way through
Once cooked allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Slice the meat as thinly as you can, or a great suggestion is to use a peeler so it’s like actual kebab meat!!

I Served mine with tons of salad, butternut squash chips and my home made coleslaw.

The coleslaw was totally made up!! I shredded cabbage, onion, spring onion and carrot. I then mixed up some balsamic vinegar, mustard powder and lemon juice. Pour in to the veggies and toss!

Totally syn free and amazing!!! You can also use a HEB pitta bread if you wanted to and add hot chilli sauce or mint yogurt.

Enjoy and Happy Fopping xxx

  1. Here’s my syn free chilli sauce recipe that goes really well with the kebab: Chilli sauce: 6 diced tomatoes, 2 diced onions, 4 chopped jalapeno peppers (or about 16 rings from a jar of peppers), 6 fl oz vinegar, 2 tbsp sweetener, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp chilli flakes. Boil everything for 20 minutes then blend. Return to heat and simmer for 1/2 hour til thickened. Stir in 4 tsp sugar free mint sauce and cool.
